New Model's Setting Up Advice

This initial blog post will outline a basic overview and advice to 'New' models upon joining http://www.myfreecams.com (MFC), including do's and don’ts, how to maximise your potential and interaction aspects within your room.

*Disclaimer* This blog is written from the opinion of a veteran MFC member with what I consider significant experience of the site. This blog is not 'official' advice from MFC and is not endorsed by MFC officially in any way. It is also not written from the perspective of a Model, so it is not the 'be all and end all' of advice and tips, however, I hope that I encompass the main issues and points. I am also not making any attempt to 'bad mouth' MFC in any way shape or form within the blog, my comments are simply trying to give a realistic and informed view on what models should and can expect from camming on MFC, in order that they can benefit themselves, MFC (through a better understanding on how to operate on MFC) and make a choice as to whether MFC is right for them. I write this blog under my rights to Freedom of Expression and cite Article 19 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights*Disclaimer*

Before I even start, I must stress that the MFC interface can be daunting to navigate at first, read whatever manual MFC gives you and familiarise yourself with functioning with Private Messages (PM's), Muting and Banning members, how to watch members cams, how to activate and end privates/groups, the difference between been away and logging out and adding members as a friend. The interface which greets members is totally different to the one models have, so alas I cannot help you with specifics on navigating your interface and from what I've heard from models I know is MFC don't unfortunately give models allot of help or advice, so you're very much get thrown to the wolves.

MFC Overview

1. First thing to say about MFC is MFC is NOT like any other cam site out there. To 'New' models who have experience and are coming over from other cam sites, this is an important point to take note of because you need to adapt very differently to succeed on MFC. To models who are 'New' to cam sites all together and MFC is your first venture as a cam model, then parts of this first point aren’t really relevant to you but other parts are.

For those of you who may have been on streammate, livejasmine, cammodels.com etc etc before and think you know it all about camming. While you may have experience and you may know what you’re doing, MFC is very different. You can not sit on MFC and wait for someone to take you group or private (Unless you are 'famous' or semi 'famous' and you are instantly recognisable, in that case yes members will just take you private for you been there). MFC is very communal and interaction based. Think of MFC like a strip club, your room is your punters, but they respond the best to models who can talk to them, make them feel loved, charm them and are good interacters.

You need to think long term on MFC rather than short term if you really want to make a business venture out of it. It's about building a 'fan base' appealing to your regulars and charming those premiums like a stripper would to her regular guy, you want your premiums to love you and buy you things (If you get really good at it you might eventually get those fanboys with more money than sense falling for you and giving you 10K + tips, but don't get too excited yet, that will take some time). You can’t achieve that if you sit there and think of the members with disdain, thinking they are graced by your mere presence and someone will just take you private or group. You must learn to Talk allot more than you type on MFC and try to respond to questions posed by premiums, once members get a flavour for your personality and take a shine to you, then you will get offers for private/group/skype and they will be more inclined to play your public games/countdowns etc.

Members

2. Now that point one sets the general picture of what kind of cam site were dealing with here, a important starting point is to outline who your members are and what they can potentially do for you. Basically there are three types, Premium, Basic and Guests.

  • Premium members are the ones you need to pay the most attention to, these are the guys who have tokens to spend (unless there broke, remember premiums buy 200 tokens initially to become premium for life, so they aren’t always a token machine) a Premiums username will appear like this: Username (This could be any colour)
  • Basic members have created a profile, but they have never bought tokens yet, so these guys can not give you tokens without first becoming premium, this is an important thing to note, because although basics can potentially become premium, so it is good to court their favour if possible, do not neglect a premium over a basic. A basics username will appear like this: Username (will always be blue)
  • Guest members are not really even members, as the name suggests they are a guest to the site, it means they have never even created an account they are just there perving for free, the reason MFC allows these, is the hope that these guests get hooked on what they see and want in. Guests will appear like this: Guest (will always be grey)

Now that you know what you’re dealing with, a general piece of advice, if a basic promises something, take it with a pinch of salt and whatever they are requesting tell them to become premium and tip if they want something. If basics ever get too demanding models will usually mute them (if any member becomes abusive, hit that ban button). Guests are usually absolute nutters who will talk allot of shit, so most models will just mute guests from the offset. Like I mentioned before your focus should be on a good interaction (and by interaction I mean, talking verbally, answering questions in a timely manner and trying to take some kind of interest in what they are saying to you) with your premiums, while keeping the basics sweet and tempting them to become premium for you.

Planning your shows

3. Plan your shows in advance (if possible). As I said MFC is all about interaction and this means the worst thing you can do is go on line not knowing where you want to go with your time on there, finding yourself stumped as to what to talk to your room about and finding yourself sitting there in silence while your premiums get bored and go elsewhere. (Remember, premiums are your potential profit, don't make them want to leave). Don't just go live 'cold' (Only members with an already substantial 'fan base' can afford to just go live without planning and go 'look it's me guys' and expect tokens to role in).

Think about:

  • Your token goal for the day (This will depend on what you want to achieve from MFC and what you are primarily there for, if your trying to make MFC your full time paying wage you realistically need to try to make 2000 tokens at least per day (6 hours on average) on line over the space of 5 days, this calculation should bring you in about £280/$340 per 'week')
  • How long you going to broadcast for the day
  • A topic/theme of the day
  • Something you can talk to the members about
  • What questions could you ask the members to invoke discussion
  • If you have social media profiles, reminding your followers/friends your going live at 'date and time, time zone (remember MFC is international)
  • Outfits/clothing/lingerie you could wear.
  • What could you sell (Will give some ideas on the Hints Tips section at the end)

As well think about what you are going to charge for what you are prepared to offer. Remember MFC take a hefty cut of the tokens you receive, so it costs for example a member $19 or £12 to buy 200 tokens, in monetary value you will probably only see about $9 or £5 of this. So you need to strike a balance between what you need to make for each act or flash or whatever and what is 'fair' to the members in terms of that you don't price yourself out of the market. What I mean by this is, you may think you’re worth every penny or cent of $19/£12 to show your tits, but it is highly unlikely a member will give you 200 tokens just for a tit flash. You need to think about the potential for making allot more tokens by dropping the price as you would if you set your prices to high. Consequently, don't sell yourself short either, a tit flash may be worth in the region of about 50 tokens per flash but to flash your pussy, you can reasonably expect members to pay more.

Maximising your profile

4. Technically this point probably could come before the first 3 but this is as good a place as any to mention it. Your profile is a great space for advertising yourself and is your shop front. Use it to advertise what you offer, what you like what you dislike, any links to your twitter page, any links to your Amazon wish list, what your prices are for various things, what you do what you don't do, fill in as much information about you as possible so members get an idea what kind of person you are (for example if your a major sizequeen, get it in somewhere in your profile that you like big cocks or whatever, because members have a model explorer feature, where they can pinpoint specific phases or keywords within a models profile and if they are looking for something in particular they could find it from your profile), also a hugely important part of your profile is your:

Tags

You must think very carefully about what you put in as your keyword/tags. These tags are what can potentially bring more members into your room. Allot of premium veteran members will actually use the search features to search for things they are looking for in particular, rather than even bothering to look at the main page which is ranked by cam score (I will dedicate another blog post to camscore as its a contentious, complex topic, which is not really something you need to worry about at first as a brand new model). So for example if a member wants to see a model with some big tits, they are going to search for big tits, if in your tags you put big tits, hey presto your profile will pop up when they search. Ergo you can see what a powerful tool tags are, make sure you sell yourself properly here and think like a male member (no pun intended) (I say male because lets face it 90% of MFC members are male). The reason I say think like a member here is, members are not going to search for playful words when they search, they are not going to search for sumptuous boobs or intelligent, don't waste your tags by putting keywords like that in, if you got big tits get tags in there like big, huge boobs, big tits, big breasts, busty. If you get a big ass get booty, big ass, huge ass, round ass in there, if you got a hairy pussy, get that tag in there. You see what I’m saying here? It's not just the obvious body features that can drawn members in, sometimes fetishes or things members can't get elsewhere will attract them in (Hairy pussy been the example I used, domination, mistress, submissive etc could be another)

Twitter & Amazon is something else I mentioned as links to get on your profile, I will explain this is a bit more detail at the end of this blog on the hints and tips section.

Set a topic

5. So now you have a grasp of your interface, you know what the members are and can do for you and you've had a think about what you want to do in your show, what you’re prepared to do and you’ve also had a think about what you’re going to charge tokens wise for various things.

A very important first task upon going live and broadcasting from your room is setting your 'topic' for the day/evening whatever time it is. Your 'topic' will appear at the top of your room, it will also appear in the chat box when a member enters your room, it will also appear next to you when a member is searching for various tags and keywords. Therefore it is important to outline here what you are offering, what you are charging for flashes etc and if you’re playing a 'game' or working towards a goal what that game/goal is, what the rules are and what happens when you achieve it. Your topic is a reminder to your room and also helps new members to your room know what the hell is going on in your room that day, it helps premiums focus on what they are tipping for and what they can get for their tokens.

Remember, interaction is key, if you have a topic, keep referring the room to it (verbally) cite what you are offering how much things are and remind members to keep your goal going.

Good Topic Examples:

These are some examples of good topics, depending on what kind of show you have decided to do that day:

  • Public CumShow Guys 1000 token countdown, Tip 50 for Boob/Bum Flash, 100 for Pussy, Check profile for items for sale.
  • Playing Blackjack Guys 30 per turn, get me naked, Private and Groups Welcome, 300 for Skype.
  • It's raffle month, 30 tokens per raffle ticket, offline tips count double.  50 for flashes, Private and Groups Welcome.
These all keep the members informed and focused on what is going on, they give some information on common things members would tip to see and direct members to your profile (your shop front) for more information.

Bad Topic Examples:

  • (Your doing something for free)Tips appreciated.
  • Play my game with me guys
  • 1000 for cumshow
These all lack information, they all leave the room to open to 'freeloading', they don't focus members on what is on offer and what to do to see certain things.  It is ok to do things for free to drum up interest but set a time limmit on it, give the room a 5 minute window to keep the show going, then leave or stop if they don't stump up the tokens.

Play Games/Set Goals

6. You should have already thought about what kind of amount of tokens you want to achieve in the amount of time you are prepared to spend online. You may have a figure of say 2000 tokens per 5-6 hours online (You can figure your own out). That said you now need to find a way to achieve that, the obvious way is via private sessions which will generate 60 tokens per minute and 80 tokens per minute in true private (in private other members can use tokens to spy, in true private the member pays extra to lock out anyone from been able to pay to spy). Group sessions will generate 10 tokens per minute for each member in the group and requires at least 3 members to initiate. Group shows can potentially generate as much or even more than private sessions (if you get 6+ members in a group) but in general earn less than a private session. In the meantime while you’re awaiting a premium to take you private or a group of premiums to offer to take you group, you should not be resting on your laurels. Use your time in 'free' chat to play tipping games with members (Countups, countdowns, card games so many tokens per turn, raffles, board games, clear the board, use your imagination, anything you could potentially play where you can charge for turns, play it!) offer flashes of ass, tits, pussy for various tokens, play a countdown game where there will be a specific reward for reaching the goal. Furthermore, be prepared to be adaptable, if your topic or game doesn’t seem to be going very well, it's getting slow in the room, be prepared to switch to something else to achieve your days goal.

You may find you are making so much from your 'free' chat that accepting a private would actually be detrimental to your earning ( this can be the case when you say have 40+ premiums in your room, you have a constant ream of tokens coming in from a popular game or countdown, then one premium offers to take you private, do you want to potentially clear your room and take a private that might only bring in 300 tokens or less, at the expense of thousands your making through your 'free chat'?) although this is a dilemma that faces the more experienced models who have already built up a hefty fan base. In general your free chat games and countdowns will be an aside between your private shows. Remember to refer to your topic during games and to keep reminding the room what you’re playing and what a turn costs.

Skype

7. Skype shows are something quite allots of members will ask you if you do. This can be a profitable venture if you wise up and play it right. First if all you can advertise that you offer skype shows for a set amount of tokens tips (at least 200-300 tokens for 10 mins on skype should be a basic rate, judge for yourself what works for you) this will not get you in to trouble with MFC. However, do not openly advertise that you accept paypal on MFC, MFC will ban the shit out of you for accepting paypal payments, because this cuts them out of the money, and they are all about making money. They will turn a blind eye to allot of things if you are making them money i.e. by generating tokens, but they will cut you out of their website if you fuck with their profits (MFC is like a pimp, they don't give a shit, within reason, how you make their money for them, but if you try to 'steal' from them they gonna pimp slap you). You can get away with accepting paypal if your discreet about it, but to be honest Paypal suck ass and I’ve heard tell of models having their money effectively stolen from them by paypal, by paypal shutting their account down for taking 'adult' payments.

Again this is like the private dilemma for experienced models, skype will take you away from your room so you need to make a judgement call as to whether it is better for you to leave your room while you take a skype or whether the skype isn’t worth your time right now. Ultimately this is something you will work out pretty easily by how slow or how good a day you’re having.

Private Messages

8. Private Message's or PM's are messages can send you directly privately away from the open free chat room. Most reasonable premiums will use this facility to ask you questions about potential private shows, what you offer, how they can get this that and the other from you. As a rule you will want to work out how to answer these as this is potential business you could be loosing by not knowing how to deal with them and pissing premiums off by been ignored.

Now PM's can swamp models who are in-experienced and suddenly find they have about 50 messages lined up in their pm interface. In general if a member is asking you something sensible i.e. what do you offer in private, do you watch cams, do you offer skype, how much for this then try to answer these pm's, but if a member is just saying how are you or can you piss for me, don't feel obliged to even entertain these remarks with a response, this will help you cut down those PM's for a start.

Another major tip which allot of models have adopted is to set your PM's to friends only on your settings interface, then charge a set amount of tokens for members to be able to be added to your friends and PM you. This works in a positive way two fold, one it cuts out all the timewasters who really don't have anything important to ask you as if they did they would pay and two it generates more tokens from the premiums who really do want to PM you and are prepared to pay for the privilege.

Watching Members Cams

9. Quite allot of members will probably ask you 'do you watch cams?'. What they mean by this is do you watch members webcams, which is a feature where by premiums cams can be broadcast to models. You have to decide for yourself if this is something you are willing to do. Most models will charge for this anywhere in the region of 30 - 200 tokens to watch a cam in public 'free' chat, how much you charge should be relative to how long you intend to watch. If you say you are going to take a look, it's not reasonable to ask for 200 tokens, although if you are prepared to watch for quite some time then you may feel justified to ask for more.

Ultimately, some models are willing to take a look at cams in public 'free' chat, some will only look during a private show or skype show, some models will not watch at all. It is up to you whether or not this is something for you, but what I will say is, it’s another way to make some tokens.

Also be honest to members about this, if you really do not want to watch a members cam, then say so, it may be that you don't really want to watch but your willing to for a very substantial tip, don't just ask for 400 tokens to watch a cam without explaining to the member why your price is so high (again interaction with your members is paramount on MFC). Some models just enjoy seeing what the members have behind their cam and will watch for free, it's really down to you, but from a business point of view, there isn’t much harm in asking for say 50 tokens to view a cam for 5-10 minutes in public, provided you are happy enough to do that and it isn’t getting in the way of your public show too much.

Do Not tell a member you will watch their cam, take the tip and then not watch the cam, members get a notification of everyone who is currently watching their cam, so don't even try to trick members into thinking you are watching when you are not or don't intend to. If you really don't want to watch cams just say you don't watch them, no matter how tempting it is to take more tokens. This kind of behaviour is frowned upon and as MFC is quite communal, not only will it probably get you reported to MFC by the member but it will probably end with the member bad mouthing you to other premium’s (yes members do talk to each other about who is a good and bad model and also there are 3 members lounges where members can discuss things like this), leaving bad feedback comments on your profile, giving you a 1 star rating and in general doing more harm than good to your reputation and future token potential.

If you have decided to offer this, in order to watch a members cam, when the member has their cam turned on and is broadcasting (ask them if it should be on) there should be a 'View Webcam' link either at the top of a PM box between you and the member or by clicking on the members Username. Can't really be more specific than that, as like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, members and models interfaces are very different. Where the link is on a members interface could differ to models.

Cam does not load/blank cam problem

One problem which happens sometimes with New Models upon joining the site is, for some reason internet cookies and history interferes with the MFC interface, rather than fixing this issue MFC tends to ignore it, as they are making to much money to really care.

Now what can happen sometimes is you click to view and members cam, the member is on, you have clicked but.... nothing, blank cam or it gets stuck on 'Loading'. To fix this you will you need to:

  • Go to your Internet Options
  • Delete all your entire Internet History (Including all cookies)
  • Log out of MFC entirely (If you try to view without logging out or just refresh your page it still won't work)
  • Log back into MFC
  • Now tell the member to close and reopen their cam and refresh at their end
  • Click on the view webcam link again once the member has confirmed it is back on again.
  • If it still does not work after these steps, try adding the member you’re trying to view as your friend, then close down their cam and try to load one final time.

These steps 99% of the time resolve the issue, 1% of the time the site is having a really bad day and for some reason nothing works.

What can I get away with on MFC/What can I not do on MFC?

10. I'm led to understand that when new models join MFC they are given a whole long list of things they can't or are not suppose to do on MFC and are warned doing so could lead to potential bans from the site.

First of all the thing to say here is (as I have touched upon already) MFC will let allot of things slide and turn a blind eye to allot. MFC is all about making money, but it does not like its models cutting them out of their money and or jeopardising their status as a non hardcore porn website.

What this translates to is you can do this in free public chat:

  • Show Pussy
  • Cum Shows
  • Show Boobs
  • Show Ass
  • Shove Vibrators up yourself
  • Fist yourself
  • Cover your naked body in oil/paints/food
  • (Pretty much anything nude or naked)
  • Advertise that you take Skype shows for tokens
  • Give out an email address for members to contact you for various requests (Probably best to communicate this information via Private Message, unless the email if a generic email for the purpose of your 'business' which contains no personal clues to your identity)
  • Advertise your Twitter handle (Your @Username)

The majority of the top models do these things and are still on MFC, so don't think MFC would kick you for doing what the biggest earners for the site do themselves.

You can not:

  • Have sex with a man anywhere on the site (This means in Private or Group also)
  • Have a male present within shot anywhere on the site (This means in Private or Group also)
  • Have under age individuals in shot anywhere on the site (This means in Private or Group also)
  • Advertise Paypal anywhere on the site (This means your profile, your public room, private and group also)
  • Broadcast simultaneously to another cam site while you are live on MFC (If you have profiles on other sites, log off MFC and log into your other site when things get slow on one and vice versa)

Now the reason for the distinction on what MFC will turn a blind eye to and what will get you kicked out is two main reasons, (which have been mentioned already). One MFC is not defined as a hardcore pornography site and as such does not have to conform to certain regulation and probably taxes that other hardcore porn sites do, MFC want to keep things this way and therefore will not allow under any circumstances Men present on cam in any form anywhere on their site, so don't do it (even in private and group)!! Now having said that you can get around this by telling members if they want to see you get fucked, they can see this via a skype show and as long as they pay for the show in tokens, this has nothing to do with MFC and MFC have still received their tokens, so again you will be fine that way.

Two MFC only cares about making money from it's site (Not bad mouthing MFC here, it's just the reality of the situation), to maximise it's profits it likes models to not cut them out of the action and also to generate as many tokens as possible by been responsive to their room on MFC. Hence if you advertise Paypal, MFC will kick you off their site, if you ignore your room by broadcasting to other sites while live on MFC or you refuse to take tokens and request paypal payment instead or another method, MFC will kick you out.

A contentious issue is Piss, Shit etc all that kind of hardsports area, strictly speaking MFC does not allow this and by doing so in Public could get you banned. As a general rule there are several South American models in particular who offer these 'shows' and still don't get banned, but I’ve also heard of models getting banned for doing these things in public, if you are prepared to offer this, probably best to keep it for privates or tell members to pay for a skype show to see it.

11. Hints/Tips

Do's:

  • Always, always, always!! tokens first for any request. Don't let any member convince you into doing something before they have paid up, especially basics promising paypal payments. Rule of thumb, tell basics to stop talking and become premium and tip if they want something, if a premium asks for something remind them its tokens first. If a premium promises to pay at a later date, tell them they will have to wait, guests are usually mental so just ignore them anyway.
  • Talk more than you type
  • Answer questions posed by premiums in as timely a fashion that is possible
  • Sell Videos (Upload them to a host that allows you to password access download links and that you can shut down links within 24 hours, this way if one guy buys your video, he can't pass the download link around)
  • Sell access to your gallery (This means uploading naughty pics to your profile galleries and then setting them to restricted password access required, then you can sell access for a price)
  • Sell panties, raffles etc etc (MFC is about sell sell sell if you want to make serious tokens)
  • Set you pm's to friends only (if you find you are still struggling after ignoring some of the pm's that don't ask anything relevant or specific) and charge an amount of tokens to become friends. (I would suggest offering a PM service rather than offering none at all, as sometimes PM's can bring you in offers which you wouldn’t otherwise get in the public room)
  • If you are prepared to watch cams in public set a price of around 50-100 tokens to take a 5-10 min view. Or view for free if you really enjoy taking a look (everyone is different).
  • Be honest with premium members about what you will offer and what you provide. If you don't like doing something just tell the member you don't offer that, if you set a high price for something particular explain why you set a high price for this. Premiums will appreciate your honesty and may tip you for other things and take a liking to you, if you try to bullshit a premium or string them along, in the short term yes you may get some tokens out of them, but you will get found out for what you are doing eventually and this will damage your reputation in the long term. For example, do not allow a premium to think that you would possibly do meets with them one day if you have no intention of ever doing so, just be up front and honest that you would never do meets in that situation.
  • Set up a Twitter profile to advertise yourself and remind your regulars and followers when you are going live, you want as many premiums in your room as possible when you go live.
  • Make use of the MFC mailing system to send out reminders to your MFC friends as to when you are going to be next online, if you currently have any special offers, if you’re selling something new etc.
  • Keep your members/friends/followers informed. This is important as if a premium takes a liking to you and decides your a favourite of theirs, if you don't let anyone know when your next online, your regulars might go spend their tokens on someone else, in the mean time, while they don't know how long it is until your going to be back. If you keep everyone in the 'loop' as to when your back, those premiums might weigh up that they would rather keep their tokens for when your back on in the near future.
  • Be smart about when you broadcast, allot of people get paid on a monthly basis at the end of the month, so think about that you probably want to broadcast a day or few days after 'pay day' (Usually the last Friday of a calendar month). If there is a major sports event on, think about broadcasting after it if things seem slow, like I mentioned before the majority of MFC premium members are men. Also people work Monday-Friday 9-5 in general, so aim to be live after 5pm on those days (Unless it’s an obvious holiday season).
  • Do themed shows
  • Remind your members during your shows of what you’re offering, what your prices are and prod them a little to get tipping more. If you have regulars who have become fan boys of yours, don't feel too bad about using a little bit of emotional blackmail on them i.e. you haven’t tipped me in quite awhile, makes me sad :( que the puppy eyes!
  • If your having a very slow time don't be afraid to tell the members so and inform them if things don't pick up your logging off and do so for a few hours until you hit a better time. If you happen to have profiles on other cam sites, hop off MFC and over to the other and see if you have more joy for a few hours, then hope back over to MFC once things slow down their. (This will also help to keep your camscore as high as possible, not going into too much detail on camscore, as I said before I will dedicate a separate post to it, but basically the longer you broadcast without receiving any tokens or very little tokens, your camscore will suffer for it)
  • Take the opportunity to watch a show of a model or models who are ranked in the top 20, they are there for a reason, the reason being they have mastered the ways of MFC and you can take lessons on how to improve your shows from some of their methods.
  • If your room has several premiums and basics sitting there but none are talking and none are tipping, call them out, inform them they have to talk or tip otherwise there are going to be banned. While banning premiums may sound like bad move, there are many premiums who freeload as bad as basics and guests (remember to become premium you just have to buy 200 tokens once), and it is no benefit to you to have a room full of 'parkers' (i.e. they park themselves in your room and don't contribute in anyway).
  • Take note of a premium members reward points total.  This is an indicator as to whether or not that premium is a 'high roler' i.e. they have accumalated a substatial amount of reward points, therefore they are propably a serious member and you will want to court their favour.  Reward points are basically what MFC adds up the more a premium buys totkens, the more tokens a member buys over time, the higher their reward points will become and eventually a premium will become a 'Platinum Premium' to a member this means they get more fleixabilty on what token amounts they can purchase and also customer service priority from MFC (apprently).  For example, to give you an indicator I myself am a platinum preminum with (currently, 24.12.12), 14715 reward points, so this is a pretty high figure of reward points, alot higher than this and the member is probably a 'whale' who is a bit of a fanboy to some models, alot lower than this then the member is probably a more infrequent tipper.  Obviously you want to try and coax tips out of all premium's in your room and try to pay attention to them all, but just look out for 'high rolers'.
  • Set up an Amazon wish list, once you get a fan base going, you might get some presents bought for you or members can buy you things from it as an alternative to tokens.
  • Set up a Twitter profile and use it as a marketing/advertisement tool. You will need to get as many followers as possible, you can do this by posting some sexy pictures of yourself and hash tag them i.e. #Sexy #Arse #MFC and finish your 'tweet' off with your @username, this way anyone looking up those words would see your tweet and would be likely to follow you. Remind everyone who comes into you room on MFC that you have a twitter and to check out your profile, put your @username handle on any blogs, forms etc you use. The more followers you have the more people see your tweets, so your voice is heard by a wider audience. Once you have a significant amount of followers you can then use this profile to keep your fans informed of when you will be broadcasting to ensure you have as many potential tippers in the room as possible and also to advertise when you have offers, new items on sale etc.

Don'ts:

  • Sit in silence with very loud music playing (music is ok in the background at a reasonable level, but very loud music is just annoying), this sends a very aloof message across to your room and will bore the majority of premiums members pants off, as well as been extremely annoying for a member to have to suffer your very loud music. It means we have to turn our sound right down and then can't really hear what your saying when you do decide to talk.
  • Type rather than talk, as I mentioned allot in this post, interaction is very important on MFC, the majority of models who break into the top 20 or 30 on MFC while have probably got there via slightly different ways and methods, one thing the most of them will have in common is that their all great talkers and great at interacting with their premiums, they make there premiums feel like their 'friends'.
  • Fuck guys on MFC or even have one in shot within your room, this will get you banned from MFC without question. If you’re going to do it, do it on skype and take token payments for skype shows away from MFC.
  • Broadcast simultaneously to another cam site while on MFC. It's rude to MFC members, members don't like it, MFC will not stand for it, if you get reported several times for it, you can rest assured MFC will ban you.
  • Use paypal, paypal sucks in general because several models have had their paypal accounts closed by paypal due to them deeming payments to be of an adult nature and loosing all their money they made, also MFC doesn’t allow paypal either so will probably get you banned. If you are going to use it or a similar method of payment, be very discreet about it because MFC do not like this at all.
  • Don't expect to make thousands of tokens immediately on MFC and don't expect to race to the top 50 models in your first 6 months. MFC is long term rather than short term, so don't get dishearten if you have quite days, you have quite periods, you don't make as much as you expected or were led to believe you could make in your initial few months. It doesn’t mean your useless, ugly, the worst cam model in the world, you have to understand that the models in the top 50 will have been around quite some time and will have got very good at allot of the points I am making in this post, they will also no doubt have quite a few fan boy nutters who tip them major amounts during the month, these kind of 'whales' may come your way eventually but you have to be patient, dedicated and clever.

Benefits to MFC/Draw Back to MFC

12.

The major benefits to MFC are:

  • As a long term project, if you hit a winning formula and have the time and or patience to achieve your goals, MFC can be very lucrative. Many of the top 20 models earn well over £2000K+ per month just from camming on MFC and do not have to even entertain another job.
  • MFC probably has the most 'traffic' (i.e. people flooding into the site) of any other camming website, so potentially the source pool of tippers is greater.
  • Even if you don't hit the dizzy heights of the top 20, a model who is smart and clever with her shows can earn a reasonable wage from MFC.
  • You can use MFC as a short term fix to earn money, but you need to be flexible and still take on board some of the methods used here to achieve that, even if you don't plan to be around MFC for to long a time.

Draw backs to MFC

  • It is a very different format to other cam sites and does lend itself to models, who want to make smaller amounts fast, nor does it lend itself to models who think they can sit and just wait on privates and groups, this works with other formats because other sites force this, but MFC is different.
  • Due to it allowing guests and basics to enter rooms, models can find freeloaders swamping their rooms and sometimes abusive guests, but you need to take this with a pinch of salt and be thick skinned.
  • MFC does not allow models to set their own rates and with recalculation of camscores, it quite often makes it more expensive for members to buy tokens, this in turn has a knock on effect to models who have to try even harder to coax tokens out of members, this is due to MFC taking bigger cuts when it suits them.

Overall MFC is what you make of it, it could be very lucrative, but you have to put in some effort to get out. If you want to make minimal effort for smaller gains fast, MFC will probably frustrate and disappoint you. If you are prepared to wise up, understand the workings of the site and make some effort you can earn large gains in the long term.

Any models from the UK in particular I would also advise look into setting up a camming profile on http://www.adultwork.com (AW) as an alternative to turn to when things get slow on MFC, AW is a different format from MFC and lets you set your own rates as well as having no free room if you choose. It can provide a good way to keep your MFC camscore safe (log out of MFC log into AW, log out of MFC, log into AW) while MFC picks up and you can earn additional money on AW while your away from MFC, in this way you maximise your broadcast time and at the same time don't break the MFC rules on camming to simultaneous websites.
